Beers to You! - Online Course in English

beers-to-you-transparent

Six 100-minute sessions explain the roots and development of the beer industry in the United States, from its beginnings in the Thirteen Colonies, through the industrialization of the industry  nineteenth century and the introduction of the German-style lager, to the era of prohibition, the era of big-beer and big distributors in the Postwar period, until we finish with the present flowering of the craft-beer movement.

Included in the course is an order for two beers per session, which we deliver to all the Lower 48. For each class students may enjoy the beers, similar in style to that of the historical period in question.

For students from other countries or US states, while we regret that we cannot deliver beer to you, we nevertheless have suggestions for beers if you care to contact us.

Beers to You! - Online Course in Spanish

Four two-hour sessions explain the roots and development of the craft beer industry in the US and four one-hour sessions the history of beer in Spain, from its roots as a luxurious and foreign drink, to the present day. This is bring-your-own-beer, but session descriptions include suggestions for beer styles to go with the presentation, and any beer store in town will be able to recommend one to you. The closest one to our location is Labirratorium (see below).
